The word 'Karibuni' means 'welcome, come in and see you soon'.
It comes from Kiswahili, a multicultural and rich language spoken in many regions of East Africa. Therefore, with Karibuni we strive to welcome everyone and to make everyone feel welcome to be themselves and to flourish.
We consider Karibuni V.Z.W. to be an entrance gate as well as a starting point for cultural diversity. Using education as our power source and goal, we fight for those impacted by ethnic discrimination, gender inequality and poverty.
Throughout all our projects, you will find a common thread. We always aim to to awaken and empower each individual - regardless of their ethnic or socio-economic background - their sense of dignity, self-development and optimism.
