Login with email
Update: log in with your email address instead of your username
As of February 1, 2021, you will need to login with your email address to sign up for your Give a Day account, this means that you will no longer need to use your username to login.
Do you have any questions regarding this? We will explain it to you in a simple and clear way below
What?
Until today, you were able to log into your Give a Day account with your username and password. This changes as of February 1, 2021. From then on, you will only be able to log in with your email address. This means that every user on the Give a Day platform will have to use a unique email address
Why?
Practical: Some of you may have put a lot of effort into coming up with the nicest and most unique username possible, but unfortunately, with the number of users increasing, it is getting harder and harder. For example: superhero1995 and superhero1994 are very similar, therefore e-mail addresses are easier to use.
Security: E-mail addresses are also more secure than user names. Your email address will be validated first to make sure it is you and not a fake account.
Overview: We like to make things easy for our users. You probably already use your unique email address for other websites/platforms. This way you don't have to think about which username you used on which platform and remember 20 different usernames.
